The Happy Herder

This is for Mishka’s entry for the NDC Spring RNG Show.

Story:

Mishka entered the arena quietly, totally unaware of what was to be expected of him today. He just assumed it was play time and barked happily at Rita. She smiled warmly and shushed him a little, then awaited the signal of the herding judge.

“Let him go.”, announced the judge.

With that, Mishka was unlatched from him collar. He briskly trotted around the arena still unaware of the other inhabitants of it. There were three nervous looking generic white ducks at one end of the pen. As the Samoyed moved about, they eyed him cautiously awaiting his move.

Suddenly, as if by magic, Mishka’s head popped up and looked directly at the ducks. He sauntered over, sniffed the air ahead of them to which the ducks replied with a suddenly waddled away. Mishka quickly diverted towards them as the happy herder began to show forth.

I’m quite pleased with this and Mishka looks great in this picture. I’m glad to do this because it’ll qualify Mishka for his NHI title as well (Northern Herding Instinct) and then he’ll also compete for his first points for the next title.
